The 2019 Polaris RZR S4 1000 EPS features a new 1000-class engine and fully adjustable FOX Podium X shocks on all four corners.
If the 2019 Polaris S4 1000 EPS looks familiar, that’s because it is largely the same machine as the RZR S4 900 EPS Polaris offered last year. The one important distinction, though, is that “1000” you see at the end of the name.
What’s in a Name?
For 2019, Polaris outfitted the RZR S4 with the ProStar 1000 4-stroke DOHC Twin cylinder engine. This mill churns out an impressive 100 horsepower, which leads Polaris to call it the “highest performing trail-ready recreational side-by-side” in the industry. Polaris claims the new RZR is 33% more powerful than the RZR S4 900.
With a dry weight of 1,506 pounds, the 2019 Polaris RZR S4 EPS offers up an impressive power-to-weight ratio, which should result in awesome acceleration.
Helping to control the ride are fully adjustable FOX Podium X shocks. These shocks help smooth out the ride, along with front and rear double A-arm suspension with 12.5 inches of travel up front and 13.2 inches of travel in the rear. Front and rear stabilizer bars are designed to keep you flat through the corners. Connecting the S4 to the ground are GBC Dirt Commander tires wrapped around cast aluminum wheels.
Other features of the 2019 Polaris RZR S4 1000 EPS include a whopping 12.5 inches of ground clearance, electronic power steering, high performance true on-demand all-wheel drive, bowed ¼ doors, Lock & Ride cargo system, Halogen headlights (55W low/60W high), LED tail/brake lights, bolstered bucket seats, and four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes with dual bore front and rear calipers.
As for measurements, the S4 1000 sits 60 inches wide and 138.1 inches long with a 106.5-inch wheelbase. While not known for storage capacity, you can haul up to 300 pounds of cargo in the bed. Fuel capacity is 9.5 gal.
The 2019 Polaris RZR S4 1000 EPS retails for $18,999.
