The two-stroke Sport ATV of your dreams
Each week our editors scour the ATV.com classifieds to look for an interesting ATV or UTV to highlight for our readers. This week we found a 2006 Yamaha Banshee SE that looks to be in remarkable good shape for a 11-year-old ATV, which you can see right here. This is a private sale and the seller is asking for $2,900.
Here is how the seller describes the ATV:
For sale is a 2006 Yamaha Banshee 50th Anniversary edition. This Banshee is 100% bone stock just as the day it came from the Yamaha dealer. I also have the original manuals, tire pressure gauge, tool kit, original sport model tag that came on the handle bars and the factory bag of jets. It has been garaged kept it’s entire life and has very low hours. Please take a look at all the pics I have listed as pics mean a thousand words. Please feel free to ask any questions!!
Sport ATV fans still talk about the Banshee with reverence, even though the two-stroke desert king has been out of production for more than a decade. The 2006 Yamaha Banshee sits 43.3 inches wide with a 50.4-inch wheelbase. Ground clearance is 5.3 inches and the stock machine weighs 386 pounds. Fuel capacity is 3.2 gallons and seat height is 31.5 inches.
Giving the Banshee its unmistakable growl is a 347cc parallel twin two-stroke engine. A six-speed transmission doles out that two-stroke power.
As for suspension, the 2006 Yamaha Banshee features an independent double-wishbone design up front, controlling 9.1 inches of travel. A rear swing arm offers up 8.7 inches of travel out back. Stopping power comes courtesy of dual hydraulic disc brakes up front and a single hydraulic disc in the rear.
The 2006 Yamaha Banshee SE carried a retail price of $6,499. You can check out the complete specs here.
