ATV rider helps save the day
ATVs may be nothing but a joy riding machine for many of us, but for some they can be real live savers.
An elderly Colorado woman who was snowed in at her home in Jefferson County was rescued by a member of the Sheriff’s office using a Utility ATV outfitted with a track system.
According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the woman needed help, but was completely snowed in.
“Resident Deputy Grant MacDonald used our ATV to drive the mile of unplowed driveway and evacuate the patient,” Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says on its Facebook page. “We hope she makes a full recovery and we’re thankful for our great community partnerships.”
After traversing down an unplowed driveway approximately one-mile long on the ATV, the woman was loaded into a waiting ambulance.
